In Rostov regional hospital, roszdravnadzor has revealed medical devices, the shelf life of which expired in 2004

The local health authority of Roszdravnadzor for Rostov region carried out a planned inspection of the municipal budgetary healthcare institution “Central district hospital” of the Soviet district, which revealed gross violations of the law: failing to meet standards for equipping medical offices, non-observance of drug storage rules and procedures for the preventive medical examination of adults and children aged under one year old.

In addition, expired medications and medical devices were found in the hospital. In particular, there was a drug, the shelf life of which expired in February 2014, stored in the dental office and the catheter, the shelf life of which expired in January 2004, stored in the therapy department.

The health care facility did not observe the right of patients to the pain relief in terms of a timely issue of prescriptions for narcotic and psychotropic drugs. Also, a number of cases were identified where disabled patients were denied prescription of preferential medicines.

By the inspection results, the local health authority of Roszdravnadzor for Rostov region made up twelve (12) protocols on administrative offense. The municipal budgetary healthcare institution “Central district hospital” of the Soviet district was brought to administrative responsibility under part 2 of Article 19.20, part 3 of Article 14.1, Article 11.32, Article 6.28, part 2 of Article 6.30, part 1 of Article 6.32 of the RF Administrative Code. The total amount of fines amounted to 260 thousand rubles: 220 thousand rubles – for a legal person, and 40 thousand rubles – for an official.
