Patient fell down from the bed
The Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare is to investigate the case of death of a patient of the Volgograd clinical hospital, who, as media report, fell down from a moving bed while being transported in the emergency room.
Following an order of the Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Veronika Skvortsova, the regional office of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare in Volgograd region is to investigate the case of death of a 68-year-old patient who was taken to the Clinical Hospital No. 4 of State Healthcare Institution in Volgograd on March 15, 2017, because of a heart disease. The reason of the control initiative was media reports claiming that the man was dropped from a moving bed while being transported in the emergency room of the hospital. The patient died 11 hours after being taken to the hospital.
